country, in everything we do, every day. This can only be achieved by providing a workplace culture characterized by inclusive everyday behaviors and built on a foundation of respect and appreciation for diversity in all its forms.

LGBTQ+ & Allies at Deloitte – Globe Pride Initiative

The Globe Pride Initiative is Deloitte's LGBTQ+ employee network, where colleagues work together to foster a safe space within Deloitte and represent the interests of the community. Our mission is to create the atmosphere of an open and tolerant company, both internally and externally, in which the individual personality of everyone becomes the strength of the company. As a network of diversity, it includes not only members of the LGBTQ+ community, but also allies who want to support an inclusive society and corporate culture.

Here are some examples of our past and current activities:

  • Networking: To strengthen networking, we establish regular networking meetings.
  • Communication: To highlight LGBTQ+ topics in Deloitte’s communication, we create social media posts and Instagram takeovers, prepare newsletter, and created an own LGBTQ+ career website and career blog articles.
  • Virtual events & workshops: We already hosted several LGBTQ+ workshops within the firm as well as talk formats on various topics relevant to the community like inclusive language, coming out at work, authentic self, and rainbow families.
  • Christopher Street Day: In 2022 we participated for the first time in the Christopher Street Day in Berlin – with an own truck and 70 colleagues from all Deloitte businesses. The planning for 2023 is already in full swing.
  • Pride Innovation Challenge: This three-day event aims to create a safe space, exchange personal experiences and develop ideas for the future together. Starting with a large networking & keynote event, the participants then had the opportunity to work in teams to develop creative solutions for various community challenges through design sprint workshops. Planning for the 2023 Challenge has already begun.
  • Deloitte Diversity Days: In 2022 we participated for the first time in the Pride Office Days to raise awareness for the challenges of coming out at work and to send a clear signal together. Deloitte Diversity Days 2023 are taking place in May with two weeks of talks, meetings, and networking.
