SXS AWARENESS

STICKS & STONES should be a safe space

STICKS & STONES is Europe's largest queer job and career fair. A space for the community where diversity is celebrated. Discrimination, devaluation, abusive behaviour and harassment have no place here. Visitors at STICKS & STONES should feel comfortable, regardless of age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and ideology, sexual orientation and social background. To ensure this, our awareness team will support you on site.

What is an awareness team?

An awareness team is a group of people who raise awareness of the needs and concerns of our participants at STICKS & STONES or similar events and offer them support. The team is committed to creating a more inclusive environment and countering discrimination, prejudice and harassment.

How can I find the local awareness team?

If you observe or experience an inappropriate situation, contact the local STICKS & STONES awareness team immediately and speak to them proactively. You can visit our awareness team at any time in the entrance area of the Palladium. There you can report incidents or find out more about discrimination. You can also speak to members of our crew at any time. We will be happy to help you.

What are the advantages of an awareness team?

Safety: The presence of the team means that you always have someone to turn to if you feel unwell. We also offer you a safe space where you can retreat.

Raising awareness: There is a broad consensus in our community and in society that we value diversity. It is therefore important to educate ourselves and understand each other better. It is also important to raise awareness of various forms of discrimination.

And what will happen in the future?

We are always working on our concept and try to get a little better every year. If you would like to give us feedback on your experience or if you notice areas that are not yet inclusive enough, please let us know in our feedback questionnaire for the Awareness team! You will find the feedback form in the form of a QR code at the awareness stand.
